Which part?

Furisode is the part between chicken wing and breast, or "shoulder" in human terms.
You can sometimes find it sold at supermarkets, but it is more likely to be labeled as "shoulder meat".
It may also be labeled "toritoro."
Since only about 50 grams is obtained per bird, it is a very rare part that can only be served a few times a day.

What does it taste like?

Furisode is a very tasty portion with a moderately fatty yet light flavor.
It is more refreshing than thighs and wings, but juicier than breast meat.
The elasticity of the meat and the plentiful juices are in perfect balance.
